We have extensive experience in our core territories of the UK, France and Germany, and work with a wide network of partners and suppliers to service the entire European region. Our team has knowledge and expertise that covers the complete drug development process from research and development to regulatory approval, market access, and commercialisation, including all functions, such as sales, marketing, digital marketing, medical, market access, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, QA, and supply chain.

The Alliance with Roche

In October 2002, Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. entered into a strategic alliance with the global pharmaceutical company, Roche, making Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. a fully consolidated subsidiary of the Roche Group. Whilst Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is majority-owned by Roche, it is an independent company publicly listed on the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and Chugai Pharma Europe is a Chugai Group company.

This alliance means that for some Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. products licensed to Roche, the companies may enter into a co-promote relationship in Europe. In some instances, Chugai Pharma Europe may also set-up specific local in-country agreements with Roche for promotion activities. When working in this way, our teams in Europe collaborate closely with Roche in the UK, France, and Germany, across our sales, marketing, medical and PV functions, to deliver these solutions to the medical community and to support product safety.

Entering a partnership with Chugai Pharma Europe will be independent of Roche, and product agreements and working arrangements will be made specifically with Chugai Pharma Europe and the Chugai Group.
