Whistleblowing and Reporting of Concerns
Chugai has in place a whistleblowing system which is accessible to its employees and all external partners. This system is designed to ensure a high level of transparency and an “open-door” policy within our organisation and with our external partners.
You can report any concerns or violations of the Supplier Code of Conduct or any other unethical or illegal activities. This includes, but is not limited to, issues related to human rights, environmental regulations, labour practices and business ethics.
All Chugai employees and external partners can report concerns through the following channels:

Useful tips for post:
1) Use the double envelope system — insert the details of your alert in a closed envelope marked only “ALERT REPORT”. Insert this envelope in a second envelope bearing the address of the entity handling the alert. This will ensure that only authorised persons have access to the confidential information contained in your alert.
2) Only send copies — keep your originals.
3) It is your choice if you would like to remain anonymous. All concerns will be handled with the same level of care.
- Please note that if an alert is reported anonymously, we will not be able to contact you again to inform you of the progress of the investigations.
To comply with local regulations1, Chugai:
- Ensures that all reports made in good faith through the whistleblowing mechanisms will be handled confidentially and that the identity of the whistleblower will be protected. Retaliation against any individual who reports a concern in good faith is strictly prohibited.
- Commits to promptly investigate any reports of concerns or violations received through the whistleblowing mechanisms. You will receive an acknowledgment of receipt, will be informed of the status and outcome of the investigation where appropriate, and Chugai will take the necessary corrective actions based on the findings, if applicable.
